With its graceful fireplace frieze and sculpture of Athene carved by British sculptor Gilbert Bayes, best known for the Queen of Time clock above Selfridges’ main doorway, and flanked by soaring marble columns, the spacious Bayes Room on the ground floor is exceptionally versatile. The Bayes is a truly special room which can be used for your ceremony, drinks reception or after a dinner party.
Grand and spacious, yet warm and inviting, there is no venue so perfect for a wedding breakfast as the magnificent Dressler Room. Your guests will enter by the sweeping staircase, preparing them for the wealth of decorative features within. Graceful marble pillars draw the eye to Conrad Dressler’s celebrated Persian frieze depicting divine justice, and 17th century stained glass windows, mahogany panelling and a peacock-tiled fireplace make this room a unique and beautiful setting for weddings.

For the grandest of weddings, the Law Society in the heart of London is the perfect setting. From the moment you arrive and stand in the vast portico of the impressive Georgian grade II listed building, you will feel a real sense of gravitas and grandeur. The prestigious venue, built in 1832, is sure to impress.
We are licensed to hold civil ceremonies and partnerships in a number of our rooms, for up to 200 guests. In the Reading Room, you and your guests can enjoy the exquisite décor and the imposing columns, with the exquisite detail illuminated by the daylight from the large atrium.
Highly recommend. Venue is fantastic. Food is exceptional. Staff are highly attentive and helpful, in particular, our wedding coordinator Kelly Lynch who made our special day run smoothly. All the guests loved it, as did we.

The Law Society is a wonderful venue for a wedding. The iconic wrought iron signage underneath the impossibly tall marble columns, is overlooked by the beautifully sculpted marble ceiling. It really is an impressive venue.
